Gottardo reopened: a journey through art at MASI Lugano
MASI Lugano is closer to the rest of Switzerland again!
The 57 kilometres separating Ticino from the rest of Switzerland are reduced to a pleasant journey now that the Gotthard base tunnel is once again (fully) open to traffic and rail connections!
This September the MASI awaits you to discover:
- Luigi Ghirri. Viaggi. Photographs 1970-1991: A journey through Italy in the 1970s and 1980s, seen through the poetic eye of one of Italy's greatest photographers. From 8 September.
- Yves Klein and Arman. Le Vide et Le Plein, at the Giancarlo and Danna Olgiati Collection, compares for the first time the work of the two French artists who were leading exponents of the famous ‘Nouveau Réalisme’ movement. From 22 September.
- Calder. Sculpting Time: An exhibition dedicated to Alexander Calder's mobile sculptures, with a unique view of Lake Lugano and Monte Brè from the large window in the last room. Until 6 October.
Tickets can be purchased on site or in advance online.
A trip to Ticino in September? You won't be disappointed!
