This year, MASI offers a series of free film screenings designed to deepen the themes of the ongoing exhibitions. For the first time, the program extends to Bellinzona and Locarno, providing a unique opportunity to explore the connection between cinema and visual arts. The project is made possible with the support of Cultura in movimento and the consultancy of Antonio Prata.

The season kicks off on Wednesday, March 12, in Lugano with Play Time by Jacques Tati, which will also be screened in Bellinzona on March 26. On April 3, Drii Winter by Michael Koch, winner of the Best Swiss Film Award 2023, will be shown in Locarno. The spring season concludes on April 9 with Anche stanotte le mucche danzeranno sul tetto by Aldo Gugolz, a tribute to the Ticino mountains.

After the summer break, the program will continue in the fall with new appointments. All updates will be available on this website.
